Appeals and Expert Evidence
  • We provide advice regarding appeals in the Planning and Environment Court and other review bodies, provide expert evidence and participate in appeal proceedings. We have extensive experience in progressing matters in the Planning and Environment Court and other review bodies. Government Advisory
  • We provide strategic advisory services to government to support the efficient and effective delivery of planning services, including the independent peer review of development applications, statutory instruments and other policy documents, systems and governance review and reform, and staff training. Our Director, Sean Cullen, has held a range of executive planning positions leading strategic planning and development services departments in major South East Queensland local governments. He is a trusted advisor to senior executives and politicians on all matter of planning and development matters and understands the unique context of government. Sean provides independent advice on all manner of strategic planning and development services matters. Recent matters have included:
  • Peer review of planning scheme amendments
  • Review and reform of planning scheme amendment processes
  • Developing governance arrangements for the cross-Council implementation of planning policy
  • Business planning to guide delivery of planning services
